 After Your PMU Brow Appointment

Day 1 (procedure day) and day 2 gently wipe brows with a wet cotton pad and apply the size of a grain of rice of your ointment using a QTIP every 3-4 hours until bedtime. Day 3-7 apply just your ointment with your finger 2-3x day with a blotting motion

-When showering or face washing, be mindful of the newly treated area washing around the brows and blot dry when finished.

Avoid excessive sweating and tanning for 7 days.

-Use caution when applying makeup for the first 7-9 days as our makeup brushes can harbour lots of bacteria and work around your new brows.

-Do not use Retinol, glycolic/salicylic acids, or peroxide on the brow area going forward.

-Flaking is a normal part of the healing process so Do not pick at any dry flaky areas during the healing process.

-Your new brows are expected to fade 15-40% after the 1st procedure, this is normal and we will build them up more at touchup if required. -Once healed, continue to minimize sun exposure using a SPF15-30 in fall and winter months and SPF30-50 in spring and summer months.

Healing process takes 6 weeks to fully heal, be patient.

PRE SMP INSTRUCTIONS

It is important to follow these instructions carefully to help ensure the best possible results from your scalp micropigmentation treatment. Be sure to discuss any specific pre-treatment instructions with your practitioner before the procedure.

Here are some general pre-treatment instructions for scalp micropigmentation:
Do not take any blood-thinning medications (such as aspirin or ibuprofen) for at least 48 hours before your SMP procedure.
Do not tan or expose your scalp to the sun for at least 72 hours before your SMP treatment.
Avoid alcohol and caffeine for at least 24 hours before your scalp micro pigmentation treatment.
If you have dry scalp, It is VERY important to moisturize your scalp using Lubriderm Unscented at least 7 day before your hair tattoo sessions. Failure to do so will result in your scalp being too dry to perform your treatment and your appointment will have to be rescheduled which may result in additional fees.
Do not apply any lotions, creams, or oils to your scalp the day of your SMP procedure. Keeping it free from grease and oils that will interfere with optimal pigment retention.
Wash and exfoliate your hair and scalp thoroughly the night before the procedure and day of using something mild like baby shampoo or all natural product to prevent the scalp from getting too dry.
Drink plenty of water leading up to your appointment to ensure your skin is hydrated and healthy for optimal smp results.
shave your head 2 -3 days prior to your SMP APPOINTMENT (NOT DAY OF)
